Celebrating 30 Years of Dining Excellence at Frends Restaurant!

We are delighted to announce that Frends Restaurant is celebrating its 30th birthday! As we reflect on three decades of serving our wonderful customers , we wanted to share a special story with you

 

When we first opened our doors on June 24, 1994, we wanted to create a place where everyone felt welcome and at home. The name "Frends" was chosen with great care to embody the sense of community, warmth, and togetherness that we aimed to foster. 

 

By spelling "Frends" without the "I," we wanted to emphasise that our restaurant is all about unity and collective enjoyment, rather than individuality. It's a small change that represents a big idea.

 

At Frends, everyone is part of our family. From our humble beginnings as a cozy 60-seater, we have grown into a spacious 180-seater today, thanks to the incredible support of our loyal customers and the dedication of our amazing staff. We take great pride in serving delicious, freshly cooked food made with love and locally sourced ingredients. 

 

Our breakfast offerings have become a huge hit, featuring a variety of options including the traditional full Irish breakfast, poached eggs with avocado, delicious omelettes, and fluffy pancakes. 

 

Our carvery lunch is a favourite among many, offering a satisfying selection of freshly prepared meats, fish, vegetarian dishes and accompaniments, while our dedicated salad bar provides fresh, vibrant salads perfect for a light and healthy meal. 

 

Throughout our journey, we've been fortunate to have an incredible team by our side.

 

From Carmel, our longest-serving team member of 27 years, to Cathal and Seamus, Alina, Monica who have been with us for many years. 

 

We also want to acknowledge the fantastic staff who have been part of our journey over the years but have since moved on. Their energy and dedication have played a crucial role in shaping Frends into the beloved restaurant it is today. 

 

Our present team continues this tradition of excellence. Their dedication and passion ensure that every visit to Frends is special. We are immensely proud of their hard work and commitment to our customers.

 

None of this would be possible without you, our wonderful customers. Your support, loyalty, and feedback have been the cornerstone of our success. You've helped shape Frends into the beloved restaurant it is today.
